When Tragedy Strikes, We're Here to Help

Electrical accidents can change lives in an instant. Burn funds provide critical financial assistance to families facing the overwhelming challenges of serious burn injuries from electrical contact. It's one of the ways we live out our commitment to Concern for Community — supporting those who need it most during their darkest hours.

The Mesa Hotline School established a burn fund to assist families who have a loved one who received serious burns in an electrical contact or fire. Any member of the Hotline School may request a donation on a person's behalf by contacting the school's secretary. Those with electrical burns are eligible for up to $1,000 and those with a flash burn are eligible for up to $500.

CREA's Burn Fund is operated through the Colorado Electric Educational Institute (CEEI). Any CREA member cooperative, manager, director, or CREA Task Force member may request a donation on a person’s behalf from this fund by contacting CREA staff. An on-duty co-op employee hospitalized as a result of an electrical burn or fall is eligible to request up to $1,000. The family of an on-duty co-op employee involved in an accident resulting in the death of that employee is eligible to request up to $1,000. Personnel working for an independent contractor for a member co-op is eligible to request up to $500.
