We Need Your Help

Urge Congress to prevent the EPA from using the Clean Air Act to regulate carbon dioxide from power plants.

Your Voice Counts

Urge your members of Congress to step up and prevent the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from using the federal Clean Air Act (CAA) to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. The CAA was designed to address compounds like smog and acid rain — it doesn’t mention carbon dioxide.

Even CAA’s author has called the Clean Air Act the wrong tool for the job — predicting that the resulting regulations would produce a “glorious mess.”

Electric co-ops are fighting to keep your electric bills affordable, a goal threatened by EPA’s actions. No affordable technology yet exists to reduce carbon dioxide from power plants.

Ask your members of Congress today to co-sponsor legislation that will keep EPA from using the CAA to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants.

Act NOW to prevent increases in your electric bill.
